Sermorelin (GHRH 1-29 NH2) is a synthetic 29-amino acid peptide corresponding to the biologically active N-terminal segment of human GHRH. It binds to and activates GHRH receptors on pituitary somatotroph cells, stimulating endogenous GH release in a pulsatile, physiologically appropriate manner. Sermorelin is used in research to study GHRH receptor pharmacology, pituitary responsiveness, GH axis regulation, and comparative studies with longer-acting GHRH analogues like Tesamorelin and CJC-1295.
